Article on THE THEATRE OF THE EAR in Ballade

«I Ørets teater er scenografi, lys, video og projisering inkludert som storleikar i konsertane.
Hellstenius eksperimenterer med plasseringa av utøvarane – og med teksturar i rommet. Ein dag vil det vera gras på golvet. Ein annan dag sit utøvarar og publikum kring eitt og same bord.» (Ballade, 23. 5. 2011)

A philosophical talk

«The good thing is that when music is
juxtaposed and interlaced with other elements,
the purely musical experience can be brought
into dialogue with other aspects of the listener’s
inner self and personality.»

Readings of Mr. G

Henrik Helstenius’ music is lively and animated, with an interaction between musical elements that has a strong dramatic element, a reflection of the fact that Hellstenius has worked a lot with music for theatre and dance.
