Trio de Danse
Trio de dance explores the connections between music and movement. Which movements gives which sounds, and the other way around. Percussionists uses a lot of movement to play their instruments, and inspired by the texts by Jeanne de Salzmann og A.R. Orange Hellstenius has created a piece where a series of movements is the starting point for both the visual and musical structure of the piece. Together with singer and dancer Silje Aker Johnsen, the trio and the composer had a lot of workshops to explore different movements and their relation to the percussion instruments. The piece is commissioned by Pinquins, funded by The Norwegian Arts Council, and was first performed in Oslo in June 2016.
